As an artist, multi-instrumentalist and Wild Iris founder George Zhen is something of a chameleon. At times, he churns out accessible alternative rock tunes reminiscent of timeless bands like Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies or Train. In other climates, he switches up into an electro-organic hybrid rooted in the sounds of Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Whichever form he takes however, you can be assured that his music will contain powerful melodies, layered sensibilities and solid songcrraft.
As a producer, Zhen has worked with the likes of Shawn Snyder, Chorderoy imadethismistake and other up and coming artists to hone their individually tailored sounds into solid productions. Musician, lyricist, arranger, producer and engineer are just a few of the colors in Zhen’s broad palette.
